How to connect?

In order to connect to the #qutecom IRC channel, you'll need an IRC client. You can use X-Chat for this purpose, or any other IRC client that suits your needs.

Then you can connect to the irc.freenode.net IRC server, using port 6667. When you're connected, just type :

/join #qutecom

and say hello ;-).

Rules to follow

As for any communication medium used by the QuteCom community, we try to make #qutecom pleasant and enjoyable for everyone. Consequently, there are a minimum set of rules that everyone should follow while using it :

  • Say hello upoin joinin, say goodbye before leaving.
  • Paste very long messages (compilation errors, output from programs, etc.) using pastebin.
  • Check the various FAQs before asking any question :
  • Don't ask to ask, just ask ;-).
