When I tried to initiated an MSN conference chat, qutecom crashed with the following error in the Qutecom.log file in Application Data folder :
/libs/imwrapper/src/purple/PurpleIMChat.cpp:436 static void PurpleIMChat::createPurpleChat(PurpleConnection*, int, GList*, PurpleIMChat&): Chat doesn't exist !!

First I start a chat with one of my contacts in MSN.
Then in the chat window, I click the conference chat button.
Inside the window, I select another contact from the list and click Add.
Now when I click ""Start"" button, it CRASHES!!!!

I tried this thing several times, but all with same results.
So is there any solution for this?

Thanks."	ahgindia

with RC3 (don't know about earlier) my mircophone is not working. Everytime I do something mic related (eg accessing the mic volume mixer) or selecting my input device in the settings I get
16:11:28 [Common] int set_mixer_level_private(snd_mixer_t*, const char*, mixer_element_type, int): failed to find snd_mixer_elem_t: Capture
(warn) 16:11:28 [Common] int get_mixer_level_private(snd_mixer_t*, const char*, mixer_element_type): failed to find snd_mixer_elem_t: Capture
I can use the mic with audacity or something so it is somehow supported by alsa. Maybe this bug is somehow related to the fact that i have actual three microphones in my alsa mixer (integrated (which i wanna use), external and docking)

http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/WhatIsLibpurple#Isitthreaded

In the current implementation, libpurple is initialized in
PurpleIMFactory::PurpleIMInit(), but all other operations are handled by a glib event loop PurpleMainEventLoop() running in a seperate thread created by PurpleIMFactory::PurpleIMFactory

For this reason, libpurple might crash in very weird ways (as I actually found trying to use an external libpurple compiled against nss).

I think the easiest way should be handling initialization and every call to libpurple de-initialization of liburple inside that glib loop (which is created before initializing libpurple).

The alternative, more efficient, would be to get rid of the glib event loop and sue WengoPhone::runEvents() even loop also for libpurple. I do not know how hard it is tough, as it should also handle event on sockets."	cavedon

I have an asterisk server, to which I register qutecom.
I make a call from qutecom after registering a user, and sometimes during the call, qutecom shows ""Error"" in the call tab. So I press Cancel button in the call tab. (The actual error from asterisk is '''503 Service unavailable''')
After this when I try to make a new call, it shows me following message :
""'''Please hold all phone calls before placing a new one'''"", even though there is no call in qutecom.
So what can be reason for this?
When the call completes successfully, there are no such issues. But when a call is not completed successfully, it shows above error.
Also I cannot logoff safely from qutecom, as doing so shows me a new message ""You have unfinished calls. Are you sure you want to logoff"" .
So what can be the reason with this.

I am using QuteCom 2.2 RC 3 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. I have it connected to an Asterisk server by SIP.

When trying to use DTMF I am getting duplicated tones sent. For example a 2 is sent twice. I see from previous tickets that this had been encountered before and that it was fixed in the source over a year ago. However when browsing the source I see that the patch has not actually been incorporated into the trunk. Is this intentional? As it stands QuteCom is kind of useless without proper DTMF support."	wengole

Also, there's a QuteCom process at 100% CPU usage that I need to kill (I even waited 5 minutes to see if it would finally show up but it didn't).

So I can't run the program or see where it's failing.

This is the binary version. I haven't tried compiling from source.

What can I try?

We traced this to qutecom sending a wrong presence packet, seems to be done automagically by the lib and the contents of that packet is hardcoded there.

Note that we modified the qutecom presence format (as indicated in the attached wireshark trace). The problem is present in unmodified qutecom, too.

In the attached wireshark trace (with 6 packets):

 * First two and last two packets are as intended (the first packet of two is the one we send out, the second one is received back from the infrastructure)
 * The middle two packets are the bogus packet sent automagically by qutecom. In particular it has a first tuple with ""closed"" status and a second tuple with open status.

Note the ""partysip"" stuff in the presence XML of the bogus packet.
This packet seems to be hardcoded in
wifo/eXosip/src/jnotify.c

The presence-info we changed (and which is sent correctly by qutecom) is in wifo/phapi/phapi.c (see macro PUBLISH_MSG_TEMPLATE)

So probably the automagic stuff done by exosip should use the presence format set by phapi and not use something hardcoded.

We currently have a workaround in kvats where we re-send the presence from inside the application using a timer. Since we send presence quite often, this narrows the window where no presence is seen down to some seconds. It's still seen by testers :-("	schlatterbeck

On Windows, when using Qutecom with a VPN which creates a TUN/TAP interface (for example OpenVPN), the source address used is not the address of the TUN interface but the address of the physical interface.

For example, the ethernet is 10.0.0.1 and VPN 172.16.0.1, if the traffic is set to go out from the VPN interface, the packet have 10.0.0.1 for source instead of 172.16.0.1 (I have used wireshark on the TUN interface to get this information, so I'm sure the packets exit by this interface with the wrong source address). Because of that, the connection cannot be established.
Qutecom is started after the VPN is established.

4	Active Tickets	172	osip_dialog.c expects To tag for 100 response (wrong)	phapi	2.3	QuteCom 2.3	defect	vadim	new	2009-12-04T13:02:48Z+0100	2010-03-04T17:36:02Z+0100	"Hi, when Qutecom makes a call and receives the required 100 from the proxy or PBX (without To tag of course), it complains:
{{{
(warn) 12:53:33 [PhApi] : osip: /PATH_TO_QUTECOM/wifo/libosip2/src/osip2/osip_dialog.c:355: Remote UA is not compliant: missing a tag in response!
}}}

Well, for sure a 100 response SHOULD NOT contain a To tag as per RFC 3261. Note that a 100 response is hop by hop rather than end to end so it's the proxy who originates it rather than the called endpoint. So a To tag in a 100 response is completely useless as we want to create a dialog with the endpoint rather than with the proxy :)"	ibc
4	Active Tickets	57	Cannot start Qutecom twice on two Windows (Vista) logons	GUI	2.3	QuteCom 2.3	enhancement	laurent	reopened	2009-02-13T13:12:45Z+0100	2010-03-04T17:35:52Z+0100	"Hi folks,
just had the following situation:

I installed Qutecom on my laptop. I log on to my own Windows account and it starts normally. After a while working on something my mother wants to check something quickly where she logged into her own Windows account (without logging me off, so both were simultaneously logged on) and on both accounts Qutecom is configured. The OS is Vista Business.

The Problem now is: Qutecom won't start on the second Windows logon if concurrently it's already started in another Windows account.

I think Qutecom has a mechanism that prevents it from starting twice which is useful but the detection whether it's already started seems to go over account borders which it shouldn't do.

Thanks for looking at that!"	neo

Suppose that you're not sitting by the computer, but have your attention to something else at the moment and therefore don't have your headset on your head. You receiving an incoming call and the ringtone plays in the headset and you don't hear it.

I suggest an option under the ""Notifications Settings"" where you can choose to also let the speaker beep to notify you about the call."	niclas

We are facing following issue currently with qutecom:

When I am logged with a wengoacount, we have displayed credit for a logged in user in the profile bar same as wengophone. But that credit does not seem to be updated, after a call is hangup or in any case. It remains the same throughout the session. Is it normal behaviour? What I was expecting that after a call, if a call duration is greater than zero, qutecom should refetch the credit from webservice same way as it fetches during login.

Can anyone suggest any solution or patch for these issues/suggestions ?

Thank You,

Alain"	alain78
